Constant Output Presentation

I did not complete the project before the conclusion of the semester, but the assignment was to make weekly progress and updates, so it's okay! Lessons learned:• Working with the pattern - with such a small canvas, there is a lot of room for error. At some points I needed to rip out the thread because I was stitching in the wrong place. Eventually, I realized the sunset pattern is pretty forgiving so certain inaccuracies were kept in the project.• Separating threads - Halfway through the project I started running out of thread and it was because I was using

This week I completed a large portion of the sky. Finishing in sections at a time is satisfying but I want to do better with filling in the smaller gaps.

This week I worked on a few sections including a new bright blue color. I also split the 6-strand thread into 4 strands and the difference was not visually noticeable. I hope this will help with my previous issue of running out of threads.

This section of purple thread is supposed to be the same color but I ran out of the darker color. The replacement thread is more noticeable than I expected. In the future, I will try stitching in a more fluid pattern so the change looks more intentional.

This update includes big portions of beige/cream-colored thread. It was satisfying to fill in larger portions all at once.

This week I realized I had been using 6 strands instead of 2 which was why I had been running out of thread so fast. But it was too late to fix the mistake because the change would be too noticeable :( I am just glad that the sunset design allows me to make minor tweaks to the pattern and the replacement thread colors do not have to match exactly.

This week, I was finally able to move on to the purple sections. It was exciting to have more variety - yellow and brown were starting to feel repetitive... The first purple stitches

I made some more progress this week, still working in mostly yellow and orange colors. If I had to guess, I would say I am about a quarter of the way done :) The kit did not come with enough thread because I am already running out of some colors :(

This week, I was more familiar with the canvas and was able to follow the pattern faster. I made progress in some portions using shades of orange, brown, and yellow thread. It feels like the project is already beginning to take shape and the clouds in the design are starting to show through :) The larger holes shown in the progress pictures are from when I made a spacing mistake and had to rip out a section of thread

For my semester-long constant output, I plan on developing my needlework skills. I started learning how to embroider in 2021 when I was at home doing classes online and I picked up cross-stitch over this past winter break. More recently I feel like I only work on my creative hobbies when I have long breaks from school so I'm choosing to document my embroidery and cross-stitch projects this semester. It's an outlet for stress relief and I hope I will be able to complete a few projects during this course. To start off, I'll be documenting my first cross-stitch project!

NeedleworkThis would entail documenting my first cross-stitch project and maybe more embroideryEmbroidery is one of my favorite hobbies but I can never seem to find the time NYC restaurant listI have a lot of friends and family visiting in the next few months so a comprehensive list of places to take them would make things simplerThis would almost be like a constant input project as well because I'd have to try new restaurants Photography/CamerasThis would involve learning more about camera settings and trying more experimental photography(This one feels like cheating because I'm taking Still & Moving Images this semester so
